Many of you may have heard the rumors that I am revamping the Eclips3D2. That is true. I also do hope to sell it in custom kit form similar to how I sell the current V1.1, with sales hopefully opening in less than two months. There are many minor improvements here and there, but where most of the work is being done is two places. First is cost reduction, which is especially difficult as I must keep quality as high as possible, however I have already managed to knock $100 off the final cost, even after considering the extra expenses on the consumer end when selling in custom kit form like I plan. The second major area of improvement is the print head. Not only am I making it easier to assemble, but I am greatly increasing the cooling capacity which should result in infinitely crisper pla prints, especially in printing fine details. Of course this also helps with many other plastic varieties which can be improved with better cooling. Anyway, this is not final. And no you may not have the files just yet I will be testing the new design over the next week and then hopefully I will begin wrapping up V2.1, finalizing the bom, then getting sales underway and the files released! Enjoy

Is the carriage for Bowden only, or can you set it up for direct drive?

Is the carriage for Bowden only, or can you set it up for direct drive? It is bowden by default, however with some modifications there's no reason you can't go direct drive. There is plenty of space on the top of the x carriage to work with!
