Hello all,
So, I just got my Azteeg x5 mini. I got the correct firmware and config file from the azteeg website, but my stepper motors don't seem to be working. I have all of the same motors specified in the BOM, but when I plug the motors in most of the time they make a loud, whining sound and will barely move or not move at all. Do I have to edit the config file in a particular way? I tried changing the current, but nothing seems to be working. Any thoughts? and if anyone has a working config file I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, Joey

Do you have this problem with all motors or just some? Did you install the microstepping jumpers? Consult the azteeg wiring diagram to insert the jumpers as appropriate, x and y should be 1/32 microstepping and z and e should be 1/16. Without doing this, the driver will try to run the motors way too fast and it will result in a buzzing.

Hi,
Thanks for the response. How do you install the stepper motors jumpers? Do they go on top of the board or the bottom? I saw the wiring diagram, but i dont know how to install them. Any suggestions?

They go on top, theres 4 sets of 6 pins, each is labeled M0 M1 and M2. Use the jumpers to bridge the two pins for the set closest to each stepper driver to set microstepping.
