Just wanted to give a heads up. The thermistor that comes with the e3dv6 is a Semitec 104GT-2.
In the config file the following should be updated:
Uncomment and change:
temperature_control.hotend.thermistor Semitec
Comment out:
#temperature_control.hotend.beta 3950

Ah sorry for that error, the thermistor I've been using is different since my e3d thermistor died a while back, must have forgotten to change that before uploading the last firmware version!
Firmware has been updated in version 1.1 on the site
