I've checked the SD card contents, jumpers (INT, and steppers), wires to PSU. All look OK. However, when the printer is powered on, the board does not show 4 lights and light does not blink. Only a single light (near the jumper for INT/SD) is on.
Is my Azteeg 1.1 dead? Not sure how to troubleshoot. Can anyone help, please?

Well does the board work besides that? Do steppers turn? Does the hot end heat up? Do endstops illuminate when triggered?

Repetier cannot connect so I don't know. This is my first attempt to connect the printer to my computer. Should I disconnect all the cables or something to see if an attached device is a problem? How to troubleshoot...
Gee...I didn't know that the endstops will illuminate. Nice.

Not an expert, but I would take the Azteeg and disconnect everything. Change the power jumper on the board to USB. This will allow the board to be powered directly from your compurer. Plug it into any usb port on your PC and see what happens. Should see 4 led's light up and two should start blinking. If no good then take a look at your sdcard, try a different card, try reformatting it. Redownload the files and try again.
If it starts up then your board is probably ok. Next check over all your connections on the printer. I would make sure that you did not use washers on any of the end stop boards. Put a voltmeter on the power supply and make sure that you have 12 volts. Put the jumper back to INT power, and connect just the 12 volts from the power supply and see if it boots. If you are still good then turn it back off and try plugging in one thing at a time and see if it will still boot after each item. Hopefully you can identify what part is the problem.

Rick thanks for the suggestions.
Without anything connected, using just USB, the 4 LEDs near the USB and SD connections came on: first one and then 3 remain on. Is that normal, or do I still have a problem with boot up?
I added back the heated bed connection, then steppers, then fan, then thermistors. It appears that the end stops that were killing the board. I still have to swap the wires, per Andrew's instructions. Hopefully that will continue to allow the board to start up correctly.
I had removed those end stop washers shortly after I was getting the assembly done.
PSU voltage out was 12.3v.

My next problem is that Repetier (on Mac) cannot connect. I had this problem for a while with my 2Up, but cannot recall the solution. I'll check on the 2Up forum.

If you don't switch them, I believe by default it will cause a short over the endstop terminal and this will cause the board to shut down to protect itself. You MUST ensure the endstop wires are in their proper order or else your printer and board will not work. Try fixing your endstops then see if it will connect to Repetier.

With all the endstop cables disconnected, Repetier will not connect.
I am running the latest Mac OS (El Capitan), and it is a well known problem that this release has broken most USB-serial connections.
I don't have a solution. So, I'll try using Repetier on PC and see if that works. Will post results after I fix end stops.
