Hey Guys! I just unearthed this crazy old iPad2 and was digging around and this was one of the last web pages I used on here. Looks like it's been pretty quiet for a long while. Anyone still printing on their Eclipse? I'm still going strong on both the aboriginal Eclipse as well as the second V2. Still hard pressed to find a better quality machine I think. I did recently get an Anycubic Photon to dive into the SLA world of printing. Well anyways, I'll check back every so often to see if anyone shows up. See ya later!

Yep, still here. Still using my Eclips3d v1.1. Still think it's a great design. Would loved to have seen further development on this platform. I've been thinking about building another one. Bigger. Perhaps 400 x 400 but I think it would need to incorporate linear rail like the v2. Perhaps an upsized cut of the v2 cnc parts...

I have two of these that I built back in 2018 and are going strong. I just upgraded to a Duet2 wifi controller with RepRap firmware with a new mounting scheme under the printer. Much better than the older controller. I also added LEDs to light up the inside of the printer so I can see the printing better. Now I am trying to figure out how to mount a BLTouch probe for Z axis auto leveling. But that has me a bit flummoxed.

Yes, I still am using both the version 1 and version 2 of the Eclips3d. I finally had to tighten the belts on the v2 printer today. Some sort of belt tension device would make that easier. I also built the Tronxy X5s for its larger print size. I ended up tossing out pretty much all the trashy parts and just used the frame. I added linear rails and lots of the much needed mods that were out there. I also added the Azteeg X5 mini controller, and the E3d volcano.
