Well, I have this thing up and running but I still keep having some issues. I think some of them stem from the fan duct grating across the print. This in turn leads to filament getting stuck to the duct and wrecking the print. My last print actually caused some of the silicone boot on the hot end to be ripped off. I've also had a problem twice where my print just stopped dead in it's tracks about 10-15min in. For no apparent reason that I could see either. When I check the LCD, it shows there was a fault, but I don't get any additional information. Any ideas on this?

Perhaps for the fan issue, you could sand the bottom of it, so it didn't sit so low; or adjust the way the E3d hot end is set into place. I wonder if you backed more of the heat break out of the heater block, and screwed the nozzle in a little more, if that would help give you more gap as well.
I looked around briefly for a way to save a log of fault codes in the Viki to no avail. The only thing i can think is to double check the plugs are in correctly, and check what modifications you made to the config file.

I did take my Dremel to the fan shroud today, and that resolved that issue for now. I haven't had another fault either. It was just weird that it was printing fine and then randomly stopped. And all of my connectors are nice and solid when I checked them. I finally got a 2 1/2 hour print to complete. There is some shifting, but I suspect that is related to the glass on my bed not staying put. I need to find some better clamps to hold it. The binder clips I'm using may be getting old and losing their tension. Time for some more testing and fine tuning!

Further review of my print bed shows that the glass actually isn't moving, but the bed had some wobble from the screws and springs. I'm going to try to tighten them down more and readjust the bed height to see if that helps. I also had a fault again today during the first layer of my print. I'm printing from sd. I might switch to usb printing to see if that makes any difference for now. And if I do get a fault, perhaps the software will clue me in with a log of some sort. Any other ideas?
Oh and my hot end is wobbling again. The bracket is not holding it tight enough. I'll have to figure out some sort of a temporary shim until the parts are finalized and I can get replacements.

Well I got an error and a halt printing over USB.
READ: ok T:200.0 /200.0 @209 B:60.4 /60.0 @0 READ: ERROR: Temperature took too long to be reached on B, HALT asserted, TURN POWER OFF IMMEDIATELY - reset or M999 required
Looks like it is related to the heated bed, but not quite sure why this is an intermittent issue. I'll double check the connector when I get some free time. Unfortunately I have to finish school work right now, so I'll post any updates if I can find something.

Just an update. I redid my PID settings for the bed, and I added "temperature_control.bed.runaway_heating_timeout 0 # max is 2040 seconds" to my config. Found that on another forum. So far I have had no further issues with the random halts. I am having other issues that I will start a new thread for.

Interesting... I might have to do that for mine too. There's been a couple times when it would stop around 90% the last 2 days. I wonder if that's the cause...

I had to print over usb to see the log. Try that to see if you can narrow it down.
