anyone know where to get a replacement fuse for the azteeg? i thought it was a simple automotive fuse but it is smaller. can't seem to find the right one anywhere. Update: ughhh never mind... i'm a big dummy, it is a "mini blade" fuse at the auto store.

Update: ughhh never mind... i'm a big dummy, it is a "mini blade" fuse at the auto store. Haha yep that's the part! Out of curiosity, how did you manage to blow the fuse!? lol remember that cool new heated bed you found? Yeah, I was impatient and tried using it without the relay, DOH it works fine if you don't try to go over 45*C, once you bump up the heat to 50*C... POW goes the fuse. Luckily the only thing that blew was the fuse, it did it's job! I now have the 12V relay connected and all is good At first I wasn't sure the new heatbed was worth it, didn't seem to heat up much quicker. Once I got the relay installed and kicked up the heat, BAM! The electrons were flowing then lol Not sure if I just got unlucky with the first build plate, but it was not quite perfectly flat all the way across. This new one is dead on flat! Glad I spent the couple extra bucks to do it and really recommend it if anyone is trying to heat up temps for abs.

Ahhh haha yep that makes sense, 45 is probably close enough to room temperature that it will immediately use a PWM signal to heat up, where once you get high enough it will just send full power and that will certainly blow it! Also, make sure you are using the bang-bang temperature control for the bed in firmware if you are using a standard relay. If you are using a solid state relay, you can use PID still. And I'm glad you're liking the bed as much as I am, it's pretty awesome!!

did you guys use an enclosure if your printing in ABS to control temp I've only tried printing a couple things with ABS so far. Not enclosed but my setup got relocated to my garage and it stays very hot in there during the day and into evening and no drafts. So it works ok for now. Winter will be a different story though lol
