Hey Carlos, I liked your design for the Titan, but I really wanted to keep everything facing the front. Here is what I came up with, basically just rearranged everything on Andrew's original gantry. Hey guys, here is a new E3D Titan Extruder compatible gantry for the Eclips3D printer. Please note, I have not installed and tested this yet. Right after I got it printed my wife confiscated my 3D printer room and we turned it into her new sewing room. The Eclips3D has now been relocated to the garage and I have not had time to set everything up again. If you print one up, let me know if you have any troubles. I will update as soon as I can install mine and test it out. www.thingiverse.com/thing:1598224I printed up both of them and tried assembling the Titan on each of them. Carlos's design will definitely work I just haven't been in a hurry to take apart the existing original gantry since the printer is working so well. The second looks good until you try to mount the E3d v6 heat-sink into the Titan. There is a screw on the Titan under the heat-sink that needs to go on first. Once that screw is in the seems to be no way to get the heat-sink into the Titan since there is not enough room to get it positioned through the gantry. Uh oh... I finally got everything set back up and am printing the new gantry now. I will let you how it turns out. I will have to rethink the design based on what you found though. Nothing a little dremel can't handle I'm sure lol I will update new design once I work out the detail.

jjlink yes, I found that out the hard way, that was actually my 3rd iteration. the mounting of the hotend is a big issue, that's why I made the hot end fan removable. sveske I would love to add the bttouch, actually want to get it for myself. Not sure I have time to fiddle around yet, but nothing that you couldn't add on via sketchup or tinkercad.

Hey waffleb0t, or anyone else do you have your new stepper yet? I installed the one above from stepper online. I just got everything put back together with this new stepper and I must be doing something wrong. When I try to extrude I just get some clicking like it is trying to turn but nothing. It spins freely by hand. Was I supposed to change a setting somewhere? Thanks, Rock

After a few emails back and forth with Stepper Online, we finally determined that the cable they shipped with the new motor had been wired up incorrectly. Customer service was great in helping to troubleshoot, very quick to respond. Once we realized what the problem was it was just a quick change of the wire location in the plug and it was up and running. I know have this new smaller stepper installed on the new gantry with the Titan Extruder and everything is working great! Cheers~ Rock

Now I am building my printer, and have a question. I have a 400mm leadscrew :-) and this provides me with a challenge, I have a lot of extra height, I want to use the maximal height as print height. Doing this makes it hard to find out where I should place the 2 topbars. SO can someone help me, by measuring? When the bed is in print start (max height) what is distance from table to underside of B5 Zaxis plate? and also from table, to underside of the middle extrudetalu 2020? When I know the difference between these 2, I can figure out, what height mine should be placed :-)
Also, I stink at designing, you have made some interesting designs, I would love to test out. BUT I need the BLtouch mount, since this is the one I am going to use :-) so can anyone help?
:-) Thanks in advance.

Sorry I have not, it's been a pretty busy summer, not so sure I'll have the time.

If anyone wants to buy an E3D Titan I got an email from MatterHackers saying they're on sale for $60 (US). Free shipping in the USA, but add tax in California. Good until August 7, 2016. MatterHackers.com

DID IT, or something close, not pretty, but working. it is a mess, and I just might redesign it again, BUT this should be working! www.thingiverse.com/thing:1720643it is such a tight fit, that you don't NEED to mount the bolts to the BLTouch, it is hold fine by the tollerence!!! (but do it anyway lol) Jesper

Well well well some time since I did any updating in here. so here it comes...
The printer is assembled. with different mods. the computer is a Arduino Due, with a Ramps FD V2 board (with a few changes) chosen for the more powerful processer, and the ability to run 12V on hot end, and 24 on heatbed 12v connector = A LOT of power! :-) 20-24 Amp. it is enclosed and with a aluminium plate at bottom, the electronics and psu placed hanging under the plate
so HOW far are we? well yesterday, the mate succeed in getting the head mooving, heating, bed heating, endstops working AND the BLTouch reacting.. I hope that by tomorrow I can start a testprint :-)
I will put pictures in the "show me you printer!
Jesper
