I have been struggling with constantly having to re-level my heat-bed. Seems that the springs are not holding enough tension on the thumb screws to keep them from slowly traveling either with vibration or just me manhandling the bed each time I am trying to get a stuck piece off. I had thought about using a bit of blue loc-tite but did not want to have to keep applying this if I needed to make any changes. So then I just grabbed some spare square nuts and ran those up against the thumb screws locking them into place. This has worked flawless for many prints now with no vertical travel.

I haven't noticed any bed height changes from vibration. But I've had those square M3 nuts on the TOP of my springs just under the heat bed which compresses the springs slightly. That's a mod a lot of people seem to like that you might want to try in case you get tired of loosening your square nut from the thumb nut for adjustment. Also, if you do decide to go with Loc-Tite I'd recommend the Purple strength. It keeps smaller sizes like M3 from moving, but can be fairly easily moved with hand tools still.

I saw the thread about the square nut between the bed and spring but thought they were trying to solve something else and just didn't think about it adding more tension against the spring and thus the thumb screw. Duh Thanks for the tip on the Loc_Tite. I didn't know there were other colors (strengths). Good to know Cheers Rock
