Hey guys,
So, I just got the Azteeg x5 mini in the mail and was just wondering if a Printrboard from printrbot would work for the printer if I could find the correct psu. Just wondering and thanks for any information.

the printrboard can work, but as far as i remember its only an 8 bit controller with 4982 stepper drivers (forgive me if they might have a newer version that I am unaware of). The azteeg x5 is 32bit and 8825 drivers so its a much better controller. If you already have the azteeg x5, then you should just stick with that as it is what is intended for the Eclips3D.

In addition, the firmware provided is Smoothieware. If you use a printrboard, you will need to get your own firmware (something like Marlin or Repetier Firmware) and configure it yourself, as the printrboard can not run smoothieware.

Is there way to display the firmware version? The smoothieware doc says connect with a console program and type version. I did that and it doesn't know the version command, also its not in the help list.
