So far, I am not very impressed by the quality of the parts in the printed parts pack. It looks like they were printed too fast, for example many of the bolt holes are distorted or partly clogged. That's not too bad as I can clear them out. There are other parts where it's more of a problem. The mount for the E3D is particularly bad: the E3D snaps snugly into A4, but won't go fully into A5, so that there is a gap of about 2mm between the parts when I try to assemble it. This isn't easy to file out. I guess I can reprint it on my old printer, but the point of buying the printed parts kit was to save me having to.

Well because of the geometry of A5 it requires support being built in, once you remove those support strands with a knife it should have the exact same geometry as part A4. In general, yes these parts are printed at a higher speed because they are meant for functionality not aesthetics. The Ecplis3D is capable of much higher quality prints if you go slower, but for functional parts there isn't really a reason to go that slow as it would only increase the cost of the parts and wouldn't improve function.

I removed the support strands, but the fit is still not good. A4 is OK I think, as the center of the feed hole on the E3D lines up with the center of the hole in the printed piece. A5 is still causing me problems.

Hm that's odd, well if you'd like I can print a replacement and test for fitment before sending. Just shoot me an email at 3dprintedlife@gmail.com or use the contact tab at my website and I can get you set up!

Thanks, that would be very helpful. Is it OK to hold on a few days so I have time to check the other printed parts in case of any other problems? I will be happy to pay any shipping costs for the parts.
