I discovered another 32 bit controller....the RADDS V1.5 which is about $60 without controllers drivers. With it you can also buy drivers with 128 step resolution ....though they are expensive. Can anyone comment on the use of this controller board with the eclips3d? Thanks You can make any board work with the Eclips3D, It just depends how much you want to figure out for yourself, If you choose something that no one else is using, then we cannot be of any help. The particular board is an Arduino based board, and much like the ramps boards you would have to have the Arduino board to do anything with that board. so by the time you buy that the Arduino and stepper drivers.... you are probably at the azteeg x5 price point and for the simplicity I would buy only something that is smoothieware compatible, it just simplifies the configuration process.

Can anyone comment on the use of this controller board with the eclips3d? Thanks Azteeg x5 mini v2 has (most likely the same) 1/128 drivers. Don't get too excited about the resolution though, they are probably useless at the highest setting. However I'm hopeful they will perform better at 1/32 microstepping than the DRV8825 drivers, I'll find out in a few days!
