Any suggestions on why I am getting a rough surface on 20mm Calibration cube?
The -Y is pretty rough, the -X mostly on the lower-right is semi-rough, +X & +Y sides are smooth.

That is very strange, I don't know what may be causing that off the top of my head. Could you share a bit more details about your print settings? A few important things to know would be: -material -bed and hotend temp -fan settings -print speed -extrusion multiplier -slicing software used

A few important things to know would be: -material -bed and hotend temp -fan settings -print speed -extrusion multiplier -slicing software used -material: PLA -bed and hotend temp: 210/45 -fan settings : 100% -print speed : 150mm/s -extrusion multiplier : 0.92 -slicing software used: S3D For now, I will try it a bit slower and slow down the cooling fan. Its looking a bit better here: flic.kr/s/aHsmawPbcSMaybe the temp is still too hot. There are small holes on the -Y side left edge, is this under extrusion or something else? Thanks

Ahhh ok, it seems like your issue is probably that you are just printing too fast for a part this small, causing issues from the previous layer not fully cooling before the next one starts. 210 seems like a good temp but it varies from one brand of pla to another, you can always try going cooler as long as layer adhesion is still strong enough.

I just tried 180 degrees and I still see the odd pattern on the left side of the -Y side. Looking closely the is actually a hole down that left side: So it looks to me like that corner is where it starts drawing the wall and I hear it doing the retraction at the end of drawing the forth wall. So I think the retraction is causing the problem. Any suggestions on the settings for that. I have mine set the the others who posted their settings on this group. Next I will print it in Vase mode and see if that gets rid of the ugly starts after retraction. Yes, In Vase mode it printed perfectly smooth. So for regular printing should I adjust these retraction settings above? Thanks.

Ah, well it would definitely be your extra restart distance of -0.75mm, that is quite large even if you do have blobbing issues on layer restarts. My guess is that you have the setting on to retract on layer changes, so it is doing the retraction then it will have a defect of filament as it starts the next layer.
A better way to reduce blobbing is to leave this extra restart distance at (or near) 0, slightly reduce retraction distance, then enable the 5mm wiping to reduce stringing and oozing. It takes a bit of trial and error to get settings dialed perfectly in and it is different for every printer. I use 4.5mm retraction with a 0.1mm coast and 5mm wipe, no extra restart distance.
