So i have a ball screw here just wondering if it would fit an eclipse if i were to cut it down to length?
Does the nut bracket for the lead screw have the same hole spacing as a ball screw?

Well yes and no. You could use a lead screw of course but you would probably have to modify the z plate a little to fit the ball screw nut, as the nut used normally is from openbuilds and isn't really a standard mounting pattern.

If that's the only part plus the coupling to the z motor. I think ill try and make that happen. should be able to drill and tap it or print something up.

Yeah you should have no problem drilling your own mounting holes. And if you get an 8mm diameter ball screw you should be able to use the same coupling as well. If you do end up doing this, be sure to post some pics here so others can see!
